A common email I would have to design was for the upcoming release of a new book. For these emails my process started by analyzing the cover and thinking of ways to match my design to the artwork on the cover. This provided a fun challenge. For this email I found a similar style illustration as the cover. Using that artwork and color, I tied the whole email design into the cover of the book.
